    Foreword

    Hello and welcome to installment number five of Scattered Thoughts.

    I know many people have said, Why not think up new names for these collections as you go?

    Something fresh, they said. Something different.

    Others, however, have coined phrases like:

    Always go with what you know.

    The tried and true works well.

    If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

    And my personal favorite…

    Just be patient, Miley will call one day.

    As you can see, I have decided to go with Suggestion Group II….who knows, maybe she will call.

    Since last we spoke, I have suffered the loss of my dear friend, Howard Thompson. This is heavy on my heart as we buried him just yesterday. Many who attended said it was the best funeral they had ever attended and the packed house applauded at the end of it. It was the only funeral I’ve ever attended (and there have been a few,..oh yes) where this happened.

    So as Bill Murray would say, "He’s got that going for him!"

    As for me, I have again
