The Third Path to $Wealth$ - Dale Stubbart

    Luck

Iam one of the wealthiest people in the world. No, I’m not so wealthy as the Gates, or the Zuckerbergs, or the Bezos, or the Buffetts. I’m not even as wealthy as the Kennedys or the Onassis. Yet I’m definitely plenty wealthy enough.

About one tenth of the world is living in Extreme Poverty. It used to be worse. But most major governments have implemented some sort of Universal Basic Income scheme.

Another ten percent are Poor. These have enough that they do not fall into the Extreme Poverty category.

Another sixty percent are somewhere in the Middle Income bracket. They often get taxed the most. They frequently don’t receive any Universal Basic Income.

Fifteen percent are Rich. They are rich enough not to have to worry about money. But most of them do.

That leaves only five percent of the population who are Wealthy. The rest dream of living like us.

Luck is what I would call The First Path to Wealth. Every so often somebody gets lucky enough to become rich. Then they invest that money wisely and become wealthy. Another example of luck is being born wealthy. Some become wealthy by becoming famous – another example of luck. And although it’s rare, some people get rich through their profession. Then they become wealthy.

The trouble with becoming rich is that you start spending money. You may stay rich. However, if you spend too much money, you will never become wealthy. Yet, in order to become wealthy, you have to spend a lot of money.

Those who are truly wealthy never worry about how much money they’re spending. The same can be said about some people in every fiscal class. But the wealthy are like King Midas, everything they touch turns into money. Even when they’re spending money, they’re getting richer.

So, while Luck may be the dominant factor in helping people become wealthy, it is usually not the only factor. It is also hard for people to become wealthy because the Wealthy work really hard to prevent that. They like things just the way they are. Consequently, in order for someone to become wealthy, they have to have a very strong force working for them, such as Luck.

    Lie, Cheat, and Steal

The Second Path To Wealth , in my mind, is Lying, Cheating, and Stealing. This is how mafia godfathers become wealthy. This is how drug kingpins become wealthy. This is also how politicians become wealthy.

Those who take this path to obtaining wealth have one sole focus of mind – that is to become wealthy. And they will not let anything or anyone stand in their way.

Whereas those who come to wealth through Luck come to wealth honestly; those who come to wealth through Lying, Cheating, and Stealing, come to wealth dishonestly. Not that they care.

L.U.C.K. is sometimes said to stand for Location, Understanding, Connections, and Knowledge. People with luck were standing in the right place at the right time. And they had the understanding, connections, and knowledge to turn that event to their advantage.

Lying, Cheating, and Stealing is sometimes abbreviated as Ly.C.K. with Kipe being substituted for Stealing. Sometimes, lying, cheating, and stealing lead to crimes which are more violent, including murder.

Those who live by Ly.C.T. believe that if they lie often enough, people will believe them. And some people will. Apparently the people who do believe them either never heard the story about The Boy Who Cried Wolf. Or they forgot it or misinterpreted it.

Ly.C.T. always starts off with a little lie. It may be a harmless lie. But the lies get bigger. The lies lead to cheating. And the cheating leads to stealing or kiping or theft.

Then more and more expensive objects are stolen until eventually the thief becomes wealthy. And stealing results in more lying.

It’s a vicious circle. Yet, just like a hurricane, those in the center often appear to be unharmed by it.

    The Third Path

Icame to wealth by the third path. I would not recommend it. The abbreviation for the Third Path to Wealth is L.O.C.K. It stands for Losers Only Choose to be almost Killed.

I just made that up by the way. There is no abbreviation. As far as I know, I’m the only one to choose this path.

That’s not exactly true. But most who choose this path up taking the second path before this one makes them wealthy. The second path is relatively that much easier.

The first thing that I remember is lying on the floor in a pool of blood. The skin was melting off of the ends of my fingers, my face was severely disfigured though I didn’t realize that at the time. And several of my teeth were broken or missing.

My clothing was in tatters, most of it having been ripped off. And I had scrapes up and down my body like I had fallen through a glass ceiling or had laid down wrong on a bed of nails. The difference was that I had scrapes all over my body,
