Guys this version is not working ... in the end when u apply patch, the patch keeps on giving error "Wrong folder selected!" . Some guys at tpb are also having same problem ... i guess SHooTERS forgot to mention the folder or something is wrong with the patch. If anyone can solve this problem plz post here.

Better to disable firewall or make sure you donot block any of the orcad app nor the license manager Follow these Steps (NOTE there are slashes in the file paths like after C:. for some reason they dont appear when I post the comment) 1. Install the license manager first by choosing Set Up Licensing from setup.exe. Donot enter any paths. for license file. Leave it blank. 2. Copy the contents of license_manager from SHooTERS folder to installed dir C:OrCADlicense_manager. Overwrite files. 3. Open orcad16.lic (stored on the hard drive not from the CD) in text editor and replace this_host with the name of the Computer (in the first line of the file), and save the file. 4. Run setup again and choose Set up License and enter the path of license file C:OrCADlicense_managerorcad16.exe .Click Next. Ignore the failure error and press Cancel.

5. Run setup again, and choose Install products, enter port as 5280 and host id/name as the name of your Computer. Next select the apps you want to install. Leave the installinfo and contr.. file paths blank. 6. After the installation is completed, go to Start->Programs->Cadence License Manager->License Manager Tools and change the path of license file to C:OrCADlicense_managerorcad16.lic in the Config Services tab. (it would be some license.dat initially) 7. Click on Start Server button in the Satrt/Stop/Reread tab of the license manager utility. Next click on Reread License File. Wait for the reread operation to be completed (see status bar). 8. Now check if the Cadence License Manager service is running in the Control Panel->Administrator Tools->Services. 9. Now apply the patch

To aliensim, What nil_bond_007 seems to be correct. When i reached step-8 of your instructions, everything was going on well. But, when I executed the patch exe, there was an error message saying " Wrong Folder Selected". Can anyone tell me the reason/solution ? Is this because i am using Vista Ultimate? Maybe you did this on XP. If there is a solution for this, please post on this forum. Thanx

I think you completed download file, You should use Alcohol 50% or 120% to open file, one of them will have bigger size than use Alchol Program -> Open-> direct the folder contains 2 files(use all file function) -> Open OrCad_v16.bin. In list area right click on OrCad_v16.bin ->Mount on Device. Enjoy. P/s : you can search Alcohol 120% in this website.

Having problem with this statement in the instruction text file "If you get the ERROR message "The procedure entry point RWSetO2K3Color could not be located in the dynamic link library RWUXThemeS.dll", go in to environment variables and move the link "%CDSROOT%\tools\bin" in the Path variable to the beginning of it." I am stuck becoz of this problem ... I am not able to understand that sentence please elaborate that..........

Hello, guys! I really need your help with this one. I read the tutorial a 1000 times and did the steps, including a new win xp install. I've Read the forum, which says the same thing as the tutorial... Now, at the end of the steps described in the readme.txt when applying the patch I get the same error as nil_bond_007 "wrong folder selected"...I use the default destination folder: c:\OrCAD\OrCAD_16.0\tools... It doesn't work! Ideas?? the tutorial doesnt say anything about changing the host id, i left it as default "07071982"...
any help offered is welcomed

i had the same problem, you must reinstall your componets with host_id/host_name when asked to enter the host name along with the port no 5280...

For all of you who are getting the "Wrong Folder Selected" Message, geez enough already - make sure when you select the products during the install that you select ALL of the products not the one you want. The patch looks for all products and the folders they are placed in so if you don't select them all you will get the error message

Those who get "reread failed" under vista , try selecting "LMTOOLS ignores license path environment variables" in Licence Manager service/license file tab.... It worked for me. But still have error messages when starting the sofware.

Then go to your enviornment variables My Computer > Properties > Advanced System Settings and select environment variables . Then under system variables create a New varable Varaiable name: PATH Varaiable value : %CDSROOT%\tools\bin press OK.... now it should work

everything written in the upper manual worked fine but i still have a similar error message like LUIZF. Have you guys tried to use this program? From all of you, only two persons have noticed that the program is not functioning correctly. Monte carlo simulation and transient simulation are off! Same problem i had in 15.7. thus making this whole thing pointless because you cant use it for anything really.

same problem that the 15.7 version has this one has it too, if this cant be fixed u better of using the student limited version that is free. Monte carlo simulation and transient simulation are not working thus making this program useless.. Get the Shooters need some engeniers in their group before trying to crack eng. programs.

and i also notice that when u pressed F1 in 15.7, the help was not linked with the content.. on this version, the first time u press it comes up a dialogue that lets u insert the right patch so it can detect the help files. but in both the Monte carlo simulation and transient simulation are off.

Problem: LMTOOLS unable to connect to Reread licence file and getting license error dialog when starting an OrCAD tool. After trying several hours and absolutely unable to get it to work I found out two important things: 1) LMTools: Tab Config Services Setup Path to lisence file: C:\OrCAD\license_manager\orcad16.lic 2) Environment variable: CDS_LIC_FILE has to be c:\OrCAD\license_manager\orcad16.lic Then I was able to ReRead licence file succesfully: ReRead Server Licence File Completed, and start one of the OrCADtools without this Error (LMF02097). Note: I hope this is everything, cause while trying everything I also downloaded a new LMTOOLS version 11.6, and also the latest lmgrd.exe und lmutil.exe Hope this helps anyone Michael

Hello Guys please help me I am new to torrents download and I have downloaded the torrent for cadence orcad 16 shooters but I am new to this and I can not find the set.up file where is it? I see two folders CD1 and CD2 and also a read me text file which I read already and I can not go beyond step 1. Please some one be nice and explain to me exactly what I need to do I am using a PC windows and I guess I am stupid for not knowing how to install the full program but please be nice and walk and entry engineering student through the steps...thanks

sorry.I had forgotten to apply the patch.Works fine now @tigzy:did not find any virus in splash.exe. I used KIS 7 to scan it. @ alvarado2421:go to CD1 folder and unrar "orcad16a.r00" using winrar or equivalent to a suitable destinantion folder.In CD2, unrar "orcad16b.r00" to the same destination folder.You will end up with the following images: OrCad_v16.bin OrCad_v16.cue OrCad_16b.bin OrCad_16b.cue Use a virtual drive to mount OrCad_v16.cue and start install. @ abbeyromy:when it asks for the cab file, mount the OrCad_16b.cue image and proceed.

So your AV ****s! I tell you that there is a trojan, i will not re-DL to say you what kinda trojan it is but i'm sure of that. If i where you i'll scanning it whith lot of Av including Avira Antivir If this archive is clean can you explain WHY the uploader put this "splash.exe" into the autorun folder, and WHY only that one is detected as trojan? I don't trust into that torrent, I'll get another one

OrCAD v16 It's Work!! Problem with the patch? Solution: ========= At the time of selecting products, you have to SELECT ALL! so that when using the patch will not be problems. With regard to the implementation of the license, install it in 8 PC's windows xp and did not present problems. Need Help Please I am stuck on step 5. The installer seems to get hung up after all of the files are installed. The last message that I received indicated that is was checking for uniqueness or something like that. If I stop the installer, I don't have any way to launch the program. I am able to get the server running, but I just can't seem to get the program installed.

Hello! It has a problem in Layout. It opens *.max files with Layout Engineers' Edition and this version does not have autoroute. I tried to modify the settings in OrCAD Layout to open with Layout Plus, but it gives me an error: .... something related to the version. Use the old and fully working OrCAD 9.2 for autoroute. This is the only bug I've discovered so far.

I've downloaded and installed and patched yet.. when I enter the 'License Manager Tools' I get a "License Server Not Found" error message and am not able to 'Reread License File'. Therefore, OrCAD does not run. I need OrCAD to run. Please assist amigos I know that there's a kind amigo out there who happen to know the answer, please reach out and fix, together we can make a difference. (I changed the .lic to my comp. name, and generally did everything told in order. working under vista)

Whew! you need some kind of batch file or macro to exacute this one. It took me 3 hours but I finally got it working.... Anwsers were all in these comments. So keep trying guys. Seriously. You should come up with a better way to do this... But THANKS!

Hey guys please, is the monte carlo and parametric sim problem solved yet? you guys seem all worried about cracking it, but you DONT USE THE ****ING PROGRAM! damn this is ******* me off because there is a bunch of kids that wanna install it, but NOONE until now realised this PROGRAM DOESNT WORK!!!! parametric and monte carlo sims are greyed out! this is not fully cracked! it seems this program wont ever be cracked because the people doing the cracking DONT KNOW A GOD DAMN THING about USING THE PROGRAM!!! i am ****** off!

Does parametric simulation work for anyone, Nuoz comments causes grave concern. Anyways - I am stuck with the very installation process. I could not proceed to step 6. 6. After the installation is completed, go to Start->Programs->Cadence License Manager->License Manager Tools and change the path of license file to sC:OrCAD\license_manager\orcad16.lic in the Config Services tab. (it would be some license.dat initially) However, it is listed as Start->Programs->OrCAD 16.0 in my system, how do I access the Cadence License Manager? or perform step 6.

i found the problem it looks like i miss the box "CONFIG SERVICES" in LMTOOLS where i should enter in the box Path to the licence file: C:\OrCAD\license_manager\orcad16.lic then SAVE SERVICE then all the programs work!! hehe

For people with VISTA Step 7 : when I click on Start Server button in the Satrt/Stop/Reread tab of the license manager utility, then when I click Save Service, a message appears << Failed to change FLEXIm Server. You need to be an Administrator to perform this function>>. Note:Im the admin, its my laptop and I use vista.

You need to change your user settings. Vista controls the administrator settings. you need to turn it off. you'll find it in user settings!

My layout doesn't works!! I have installed it on Vista home edition. as stated above. but now if i try to open .max file in layout, it gives error about Layout.exe and closes the application!

FOR THE PeoPLe WITH PROBLEMS IN STEP 7, lightheart27 almost got it but the variable name was a little different his post with the variable name changed: " Problem: LMTOOLS unable to connect to Reread licence file and getting license error dialog when starting an OrCAD tool. After trying several hours and absolutely unable to get it to work I found out two important things: 1) LMTools: Tab Config Services Setup Path to lisence file: C:\OrCAD\license_manager\orcad16.lic 2) Environment variable: LM_LICENSE_FILE has to be c:\OrCAD\license_manager\orcad16.lic Then I was able to ReRead licence file succesfully: ReRead Server Licence File Completed, and start one of the OrCADtools without this Error (LMF02097). ... "

I installed it successfully on Win XP and Vista (PC and Laptops). The only change you need on Vista is to turn Off UAC - User Account Control. control Panel> user accounts and family safety>User Accounts>Turn user account control ON or Off. At this point, just uncheck UAC box, then click OK Now install Orcad and enjoy!!!

I have installed it in my Laptop and it seems to be working. However, the wireless connection stopped working. My operative system is Windows XP. I guess that the problem should be related to the router or to the conection definition. Did anyone see such problem in the past? What could be the possible solution?

There is no such directory: \tools\PatchWise.bak Did anyone else got the parametric sweep option started?

First I want to thank you, thanks to this page i have already installed the Orcad 16.0 on windows vista. At the beginning it did not work but after following some of the extra comments of this page i was able to run the Orcad Capture. Currently I have a problem running the Orcad Layout. When i run this application I got the next window message "Key not defined". Do you have an idea of what is going on? I re-installed the Orcad and used the "Windows compatibility wizard but I got the same problem. Please help. P.D I got the same problem when I installed a 10.3 Version, for that reason i tried to get a newer version as this one.

I have downloaded this file but the cab file data3.cab is corrupted and therefore cannot be mounted to a drive. I have tried extracting the contents of the file but to no avail. i dont understand how any of you have completed the installation of this program with this apparent problem in place. I have never had any problems with any of the previously cracked versions of orcad til now. What is going on? If some1 would b so kind to let me know how they got this working I wud be happy to know at tmcg01 at g mail c*m. Im ***** disgusted i spent two hours doing this with no results. The cab file simply cannot be mounted so i feel the torrent was either changed in the last 2months or anyone that posted was telling porkies when they say they got it working. Altho, im gonna tend toward the fact im running vista home.....what a **** os. grrrrrrh Can anyone help? Thanx Tommy
