16th July 2012 To: All Remploy Employees

**IMPORTANT CIRCULAR**
Dear Colleagues Without agreement with the trade unions and without any notification to the trade unions, the Company has started individual consultations in all factory sites affected by closure. We must advise all employees who are members of the appropriate trade unions to make sure that they have their shop steward or work colleague present at these consultation meetings. The trade unions are advising you not to give any personal details during the consultation meetings as this may be used against the individual in any future benefit claims. The trade unions strongly recommend that you raise a grievance under the Remploy Accord on the grounds that the company is making you compulsory redundant and is taking away your choice to work in a Remploy factory, that the package has not been agreed with the trade unions and is not acceptable. We would also advise that you put this in writing to the company. Please do not sign any document accepting compulsory redundancy as this may affect a legal claim for unfair dismissal in the future. The trade unions advise that you can attend these consultation meetings but only on the basis of the details outlined above.
Yours fraternally
