Sir Lien Hugh Tadeo July 22, 2012- Sun. 6:25 pm

Wonder is a compenetration of near and far. It is also a leg where philosophy and literature sit, that means that Philosophy and Literature begins in wondering. All of us desired to know but wonder should not be considered as equivalent to curiosity. Its not necessarily means to get information and something extraordinary or spectacular. To wonder is to explore the depth and richness of the reality because life is not like what we usually watched on telenovelas. To appreciate literary works we need to know how to wonder. Wonder occurs when your mind or the readers mind fights to interpret the meaning. In order to understand what it feels like the character, we must put ourselves in the position of the character and feel what he would feel. 2. What is literature and its significance in our daily lives? Literature is anything printed that tells stories, express emotions and analyze and advocate ideas. But if we think profoundly, literature is not just anything printed its a mirror of ones culture, beliefs and tradition. It is written to remind the next generation on what is happening right now. The role of literature is to disturb the people who forgot their identity. Literature has a big part in recalling, and recovering the individuality of the people. We are in the age of science, where technological advancement makes the people to forget their real identity, to glimpse in their past. Especially we, Filipinos, who influenced and colonized by different race, must rediscover our own identity and Filipino selfhood, and this is through literature. Literatures not only entertain us or provide pleasure because some of the characters of the stories or novel, we can learn moral values that can improve our life. We can get knowledge and information like the individuals progress and success that serves as inspiration. 3. Discuss briefly the types and subtypes of literature.
