Professionals from the industry and UTP lecturers B3 & B4 / 3 At the end of the internship student should be able to: 1. Apply theoretical knowledge in industrial application. 2. Acquire skills in communication, management and team-work. 3. Practice ethical and professional work culture. 4. Implement Health Safety and Environment (HSE) practices at workplace. The Industrial Internship programme provides opportunity to the students to experience the real working environment of the industry. The students will develop skills in work ethics, communication, management and working in a team. Furthermore, this Industrial Internship Programme will establish close relationship between the industry and UTP. Duration The industrial internship comprises of the following components: Integration of theory with practice Exposure on work culture and industrial practices Opportunity for students to work with industrial practitioners 8 months Exposure of students to potential employers Hands-on training Real project-based assignments Research-based activities Team-work activities Leadership and management skills Safety awareness Total Months 8 months 1.
