Krishna, who is infinite bliss --
jagat-magala-mrtaye

whose Form is auspicious to the universe --- --

kaka-kiraa-cnta-namat-moha-bdhaye who, by rays of (His)


glance, swallows the ocean of delusion of those who surrender (to Him).
Salutations to Lord Sri Krishna who is infinite bliss, whose form is
auspicious to the whole world, and who, by a mere beam of His glances,
dries up the ocean of delusion of those who surrender to Him.

ananta dea-kla-vastu-pariccheda-nya nanda svarpam yasya sa
anantnanda sa ca-asau ka-ca anantnandaka
vasudevakumra tasmai jagan-magala-mrtaye jagatm loknm

magala-bht sukha-abhivddhikar mrti vigraha yasya sa jaganmagala-mrti tasmai nama astu | jagan-magala-murtaye iti anena
smti-mtrea tasya-aihika-mumika-pururtha-paripanthi-vighna-nirsasmarthyam uktam magalasya tdatvt ||1||

sa kaka-kiraa-cnta-namat-moha-bdhi tasmai nama|
He is kaka-kiraa-cnta-namat-moha-bdhi, to him prostrations be.
kaka = - - bhakteu tiryak-ptit

kp-di glance fallen straight on devotees kiraa = prabh


splendor cnta = oita dried up namatm =

namaskartm of those surrendered(to Him) moha =


ajnam ignorance(delusion) abdhi = samudra

kaka-kiraa-cnta-namat-moha-bdhi|
As an ocean is dried up by the rays(of the Sun) similarly by whose
compassionate glances fallen straight on his devotees dries up the
ignorance of those who surrender to him, he is kaka-kiraa-cntanamat-moha-bdhi.

Delusion itself is ocean.

r-guru-paramevara-prasdarahitnm dustaratvd Since difficult to be crossed by those devoid of
blessings of Shri Guru Parameshvara --- bhrntiparampar-taraga-yuktatvt as filled with waves of bhrnti-parampar
(avidy kma karma is referred as bhrnti-parampar in Vedanta. Could
also mean successive waves of delusion-continuously deluded with one or
other thing) --- rgdi-mah-grhdi-yogt owing to
presence of big crocodiles like rg etc. - yuktamajnasya samudratvam delusion has qualities similar to ocean

sa anantnandaka tasmai nama
He is anantnandaka. Salutations to him.
ananta = --- - dea-kla-vastu-paricchedanya without limitations in respect of place, time and things.

svarpam dea-kla-vastu-pariccheda-nya nanda sa anantnanda
whose nature is infinite bliss not limited by place, time and beings, he is
anantnanda.
ka = vasudevakumra son of Vasudeva
anantnanda ca asau ka
ca anantnandaka
He alone(himself is) anantnanda and ka so anantnandaka.

sa jagat-magala-mrti tasmai nama astu


He is jagat-magala-mrti. Unto him salutations.
jagat = loka world - magala-bht = -
sukha-abhivddhikar increaser of joy mrti = vigraha form

- -- yasya vigraha
loknm sukha-abhivddhikar sa jagat-magala-mrti
He whose form increases the joy of the world is jagat-magala-mrti

magalasya tdatvt jagan-magala-murtaye iti
(He is worshiped as) jagan-magala-murti owing to similarity with
magalam-auspiciousness.

anena smti-mtrea tasya-aihika-mumika-pururtha-paripanthivighna-nirsa-smarthyam uktam

It is declared that mere remembrance of his form is capable to ward off


adverse hinderances to human goals pertaining to this world and hereafter.
