Built 27th January 1968. Douglas Aircraft Co. Converted to Freighter ZK-NZD Parted out and derelict at Oscada Maryland. Delivered to Air New Zealand ZK-NZD 29Jan1968 To Kitty Hawk International. N806CK.

Ex-ZK-NZD. Re-registered N806CK Kalitta Airlines. Seen here at Hanover Germany 12th March 1995. Withdrawn from use and stored Oscada Maryland April 2000. Last seen June 2001 in a derelict state at Oscada with the cockpit section missing.

OB-1438. Wet leased from Faucett Peru to Aeronaves del Peru. Later converted to pure freighter and operated by Colombian air freight carrier Lineas Aereas Del Caribe (LAC) as HK3842X until its withdrawal from service. Scrapped Miami August 1998.

United Airlines DC-8-52 N8035U, sister ship to N8034U which became ZK-NZF

ZK-NZF Sydney 1974.

ZK-NZF. Landing Sydney 1974. Koru logo inaugurated in May 1973. Sold to McDonnell-Douglas March 25th 1976 for lease to Cyprus Airways. The aircraft became N99862 and was later damaged in a hijacking gun battle at Larnaca Airport Nicosia Cyprus on February 20th 1978. It returned to McDonnell-Douglas for repair and was later sold to Evergreen International where it became N804EV.

ZK-NZF. Flying for Cyprus Airways as N99862, London Heathrow 28th March 1976 February 20th 1978. Cyprus Airways DC-8 airliner was hijacked at Larnaca Airport Cyprus by an Arab terrorist who had just murdered a leading Egyptian publisher at a nearby hotel. After being refused permission to land at a number of Arab capitals the hijacker forced the airliner to return to Larnaca. Egyptian commandos land and try to attack the aircraft but end up in a gun battle with Cypriot troops. Fifteen Egyptian troops, seven Cypriot soldiers and a German cameraman are killed. The fate of the hijacker was not recorded in this report.

Ex-ZK-NZG / N800EV. Northeastern with Evergreen International stripes. Marana-Pinal Airpark Arizona. February 1984. ZK- NZE is in the background. Just see its nose wheel. Parked forward of ZK-NZE out of shot is ZK-NZC and ZK-NZA.

Ex-ZK-NZG / N800EV. Marana-Pinal Airpark Arizona . 2 October 1992. These photos were taken on the same day in February 1984 when 4 of Air New Zealands DC-8s were stored at Marana-Pinal Airpark (silver bell AHP. MZJ) Arizona U.S.A. awaiting their fate. The photos have been positioned approximately where the aircraft were parked in relation to each other. As a reference, note the low building in the background with a segmented front.
