START UP & SHUT DOWN PROCEDURE OF BFP START UP

Before starting BFP all the points to read & check carefully and start BFP accordingly.
1. Take clearance from Mech. & E&I Dept. 2. Check the Dearator level it should be 40~50% 3. Check the suction v/v is in open condition & suction pressure is about 4 ~5 Kg/cm. 4. Check the cooling water pr.is about 2.5~3.5 Kg/cm. 5. Check the discharge v/v & its bypass v/v are in closed condition. 6. Chek the oil level in DE &NDE Bearing is ok (50%). 7. Check if motor bearing is lubricated by FLO system then start lube oil pump 5 min before starting BFP. 8. Check balancing leak off & recirculation v/v are in open condition.. 9. If all the above points are ok then you start BFP. 10. Start BFP & watch it take its full RPM.& its current is normal & no abnormal sound is coming from pump & motor. 11. Now open the bypass v/v of the discharge v/v. 12. Open the discharge v/v & closed the bypass v/v after 5 min, check the full load current. 13. Check discharge pr. &balancing leak off pr. 14. Discharge pr. should be 150 to 156 Kg/cm.&balancig leak off pr is 1.~ 1.5 Kg/cm.more than suction pr. 15. Touch both the bearing of BFP & motor, feel abnormal vibration, sound & temp if any. SHUTDOWN 1. Open the bypass v/v. 2. Close the discharge v/v. 3. Close the bypass v/v. 4. Stop the pump.
