2-4; MAY|3"'FILMS ‘The following proposal is prepared on Monday, July 9, 2012 for Washington, DC Councilmember Marion Barry of Ward 8 (CMB) by May 3" Films (M3F). Whereas and hereunder, CMB is defined as “Client” and M3F defined as “Production/Company’. OBJECTIVE Production/Company will provide a 30-minute untitled documentary video on Ward 8. This Untitled documentary will explore the rich history of Ward 8. The documentary will take the viewers throughout the process of the development of Ward 8, the present state and the future of Ward 8. This documentary will stress contemporary issues that affect the Black community in ‘Ward 8, such as poverty, drugs, and lack of access to equal education, and what steps have been taken, both past and present, to combat these obstacles. DESCRIPTION OF WORK AND DELIVERABLES. ‘© Develop and produce a 30-minute documentary with testimonies and stories by Ward 8 residents and business owners, ‘+ Producers will develop a complete project analysis, which includes research, writing the outline, the treatment, location scouting, and planning the logistics for the production «Producers will setup shooting logistics and shooting schedule. ‘* Principal photography will include interviews, locations, photos, illustrations, paintings, maps, archive footage, and action footage. ‘+ The documentary will include interviews with well-established and famous individuals. ‘* Additional interviews with historians, government officials, media, and Washingtonians. ‘+ Untitled documentary will blend news footage, photographs, interviews, and narrated in ‘a. compelling unforgettable documentary showing another view of Washington, DC. COMPENSATION ‘The fee for production service outlined above is $12,000 is due upon completion of project. TERMS Completion of project is September 1, 2012. Client agrees to provide Production/Company access to project related resources, contacts and material throughout the span of the agreement.
