The City of Iqaluit is looking for hardworking, reliable individuals to work at the Arenas and Recreation Department events. Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, you will work evenings and weekends and be involved in a diverse range of job activities including ice maintenance, facility repairs and maintenance, janitorial duties, record keeping, cashier duties and customer service. Minimum Qualifications Must have completed grade ten Standard First Aid and CPR Good verbal and written communication skills Good math skills for cash handling Must be able to work evenings and weekends Have the ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others Preferred Qualifications Previous janitorial/cleaning experience Cashier experience Building maintenance/experience working with tools Previous experience working in an arena The ability to speak Inuktitut A valid Class 5 Nunavut drivers license
Due to the nature of this position, the successful candidate must successfully pass a criminal reference check and TB test. The hourly rate of pay for this position is $23.67
