Observation: Beaker Solutions A Soap solution B Limewater C Baking powder D Vinegar E Pineapple juice F Fizzy drink
Condition of substances
Name: Inferences and Analysis: a. What are the colour changes of litmus paper for i. Acidic substances : ii. Alkaline substances :
b. State the inferences based on your observations (there are two inferences) Eg, X, Y and Z solutions turn blue litmus paper red because they are acidic substances. c. State the relationship between the types of solution and the colour changes of litmus paper. d. Give the operational definition for i. Acidic substances : Acidic substances are substances that .. ii. Alkaline substances : e. i. Are the properties of an alkaline shown by dry baking powder? ii. What can be done to change the red litmus paper to blue? f.
