who from other village, of different faith, nationality, and citizenship). Communities have different habits and values, when people from different communities meet, they don't like each other because each man thinks the other behaving in a wrong way. Ethnical tolerance is a result of enlightment as well as wisdom. Since it's difficult to be such a man, we have racism. Ideally every community should have it's own space. The tensions are less frequent in this case.

Pengalaman When I was younger I was exposed to racism. I was 10 or 11 in year 5 when a few of the students in my year said my skin looked like 'pooey slop'. At that point I didn't understand what they had meant until I spoke to my parents. My mother's pure Dusun and my father's also the same. Whilst explaining to me what 'racism' meant, they told one of the stories they'd had about it from the time when I was a baby. My parents travelled a lot and stayed at many hotels, but at this hotel they went to stay, there run a very wide sense of racism. And because my father was black they had to stay in the lower and less cleaner areas of the hotel. My mother and I went there too, they weren't very happy about the sense of degradation they had to go through. I guess this is a way of putting all that past of mine and my parent's experience's off my back so that I as well as everyone else, can look forward to a more hopeful future where the word 'racism' wouldn't have any meaning because it wouldn't exist any more.

Langkah mengatasi In the end, treat people how you would want to be treated and don't judge a person by what's on the outside. I know it's a rather simple answer and a tad clich', but it's true. But we're never going to fully eliminate racism. The answer is to be tolerant of others and their beliefs. Just because you've been tought something your whole life and believe it to the core, it doesn't mean that is the only answer. And maybe, just maybe, you could be wrong.
