Lake Forest Hills School / Media Center Data

LFH is one of 35 elementary schools in Richmond County. It is located in a residential area in the western part of the county. LFH serves approximately 570 students in grades Pre-K through 5.

LFH employs 75 faculty and staff members. Of these, there is 1 full time media specialist and 1 half time media clerk. (A parent volunteer serves as the other half time clerk.) The media center is located just across from the front doors of the school and the school office. It is centrally located between the two wings of the school. The original school building houses grades 4 and 5, special education classes, the gym, art room, music room and cafeteria. Pre K through grade 3 are located on the opposite end of the building. This portion of the building was added in 1999 when two schools (Lake Forest and Forest Hills) merged. There is one main entrance to the media center (double doors) and one door leading into a hallway by a rear door of the school. This rear door is only used by faculty and staff or during a fire drill. The school computer lab is located in another wing of the school, on the 2 nd and 3rd grade hall.
