CE140 0P/B2 Odiame, Jeyvie C. CE/2 2009107014 Why do I take up civil engineering?

? Six years in elementary, 4 years in high school, 5 years in college. A total of 15 years in a room. I am an adventurous type of person. I dont basically like indoor activites. My father is a contractor and I love mathematics. I guess these are reasons behind why I am taking up this course. A lifetime in an office would be boring for me. If I took up other courses like B.S Mathematics, Accountcy and the likes, then I would end up condemning myself in an office applying the things that Ive learned in college. Oh please, I dont want more years in office after college graduation, I want to apply it outdoors or have job that is conducted in the real world. Therefore, civil engineering would be a great choice for me since different sites are visited when I enter the world of professionals. I love mathematics and my father is a contractor. Civil Engineering, as we all know, is a field where mathematical skills are required for several complicated computations. My large interest in numbers is therefore a motivating tool for me to get an engineering course. To add up to this, my father is a contractor, an unlicensed civil engineer, and he has been showing me his projects since I was young. I guess that it also pushed me to keep in mind that construction is such a good thing to do after college and with my interest in math, I am motivated enough to take up Civil Engineering in my college. No one pushed me to take this course up thats why I am not quite having a difficulty facing with this. Civil engineering is quite a tough course but I am expecting that I will pass this course and further pass the board exam and be a professional and apply the things that Ive learned in the field.
