Method Inductive Method - (Reading Strategy) Procedures TEACHERS ACTIVITY 1. Preparation a. Review The Parts of the basketball court b. Motivation The class are to be grouped in 4 lines, each line will be having a ball and what they are going to do is that they are going to dribble the ball forward and around a chair, behind a chair is a ring so their goal is to shoot the ball and then return again dribbling then pass it to the next group mate. 2. Presentation I will be reading to a class a story about a kid who was not into playing sports but was hooked when he saw the players playing basketball. The Game Bobby Ray was kid who doesnt want to play any KWL physical games. He was invited by his friends to join the football club but he declined. His bestfriend

Kendrick invited him to join the basketball club. At first he was hesitant to join the club but a little persuasion of Kendrick made him join the club. Bobby Ray was amazed on how the players of the club were performing. The players were able to show the different skills in playing basketball, they know how to dribble with their left and right hand, they can pass the ball effectively to their teammates, they can shoot the ball in proper form and they know how to defend the opposing players. The players were also taught of the rules of the game, like the 8 second rule, 5 second rule, defensive foul, offensive foul and the travelling violation. Bobby Ray knows that there are a lot to learn in playing basketball; because of this he was motivated to play the game. 3. Generalization You can play basketball anywhere and anytime but in order to enjoy it you need to understand the basics first. 4. Application
