Logo Analysis Ahmed Khan

The concept for this logo came from the meaning of our title LOL (laugh out loud) I wanted to make a logo which will put a smile to the viewers face, something where trying to achieve through our short film.

The black in the background is darker around the edges more than the central point, giving the logo a focus in the middle. Another name for this effect is vignette. It is also used on the smiley face giving it a 3D feel with the edges darker to the yellow in the middle of the face.

The smiley face is used as its symbolic to comedy, I made the LOL text stand out as its different from all the colours used in the logo. Another addition is the smiley face holding the LOL banner making the logo unique.

The colours I used where based on our theme of black and yellow. Our main colour yellow is used as that is the colours used in the symbolic smiley face.

To conclude as a group we decided upon making this our production logo, which is simple, symbolic and something to make the viewer of the logo smile. As much as its simple theres the odd effect in the logo such a vignette to add a professional touch to the logo.

Second Logo

This logo is another logo design I created for our production company, however I decided to abandon this logo for the previous one as this logo was to complex with its optical flares, particles etc.

The positive of this poster is the concept of having the O in LOL being a smiley face again symbolic to comedy.

Another flaw of this logo is the smiley face which hasnt been cropped to the best of my ability n as too many sharp edges. The text LOL and Productions could be fitted a lot tighter to make the logo lose all the empty spaces.
