ZELLERS RECEIVES ENDORSEMENTS FROM BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS IN RE-ELECTION BID Named Guardian of Small Business by National Federation of Independent Business
MAPLE GROVE (October 8, 2012) Speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives Kurt Zellers (RMaple Grove) has been endorsed by three business organizations -- the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce PAC, TwinWest Chamber PAC and National Federation of Independent Businesses -- in his reelection bid to the Minnesota House of Representatives. I am honored to receive the endorsement from organizations who champion private, free enterprise that create jobs in our state, said Speaker of the House Kurt Zellers. During the last legislative biennium, cutting the red tape was a top priority. We streamlined the permitting process, reduced government overreach and defeated every proposed job-killing tax increase. But our work is far from over. Jobs are my top priority. We need to remove obstacles in state government to provide more certainty and efficiency in our states economic recovery. In selecting Speaker Zellers for endorsement, the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce cited his leadership on key business issues, local business community support, and promotion of a pro-business and pro-jobs agenda. The Twin West Chamber of Commerce PAC endorses candidates who champion private enterprise and empower businesses to create jobs in the TwinWest area and statewide. In addition to receiving the National Federation of Independent Business endorsement for his reelection bid, Speaker Zellers also received the Guardian of Small Business award from the organization. I am a strong supporter of small businesses and have fought to protect these job creators from jobkilling tax increases and burdensome regulation, Zellers said. I am honored to receive the Guardian of Small Business award and will continue to fight for free enterprise at the State Capitol. Zellers was first elected to the Minnesota House in 2003 and is currently serving his sixth term in the Minnesota House. He lives in Maple Grove with his wife Kim and their two children.
