    1. CITIMAT Enterprises, a franchisor, charges franchisees a "franchise fee" of 5 00 000.

    Of this amount, a nonrefundable 200 000 is paid upon the signing of the contract with the balance payable in three equal installments after each year th ereafter. 2. ABC Inc., franchisor, entered into a franchise agreement with DEF, Inc., on J uly 1, 2012. The total franchise fees agreed upon is 550 000, of which 50 000 is payable upon signing and the balance is to be covered by a note payable in four equal installments. the direct franchise cost 3. On April 1, 2012, RD entered into franchise agreement with QC to sell their prod ucts. The agreement provides for an initial franchise fee of 2 109 375 payable a s follows: 590 625 cash to be paid upon signing of the contract and the balance in five equal annual payments every December 31, starting at the end of 2012. RD signs 12% interest bearing note for the balance.
