Fashion week brings fashion icons to Istanbul

Bright colors, romantic points and chic sophistication were seen on the runways as the seventh annualIstanbul Fashion Week got Oct. 10, adding the spring and summer collections of Turkeys most sough after clothes designers and marks to center stage. This years style extravaganza will see a total of 34 clothes designers and five brands flounce down the catwalk until the week-long event comes to an end Oct. 13. Istanbuls fashion-savvy upper crust, socialites, media and even fashionistas on a budget will get peeks at appeals from Turkish clothes designers such as afak Tokur, Nihan Peker, Songl Cabac, Ayhan Yetgin, Gnseli Trkay and idem Akn. A special Triko Msrl style show has been organised by the Istanbul Fashion Academy to add tailormade high style designs from La Hong Nhut, a celebrated clothes designer in northern Europe. Nhuts brand is currently preparing to open a store on Abdi peki Street in Istanbul as well as a flagship store in Vienna later this month.
