An Open Letter to Senators of the 14th Congress Alvin T.

Claridades July 22, 2009 Esteemed Senators, As the second session of the 14th Congress comes to a close, we would like to thank the members of the Senate for the passage of landmard legislations that enhanced the lives of our people. With them, we feel we are better off now than most of us were a decade ago. It is also but fitting and proper to congratulate this august body for asserting its avowed independence and setting aside parochial and partisan interests in favor of serving the common good. Indeed, your political maturity despite occasional raucuous debates and brickbats thrown on and off the Senate floor speak highly of your being statesmen of the highest order. Moreover, your accomplishments as members of this people's chamber augur well for this nation and for our cherished democracy. Your collegial stand to defend the Constitution at all cost against those who would want to tinker with it for their own survival is something that we will forever cherish as a freedom-loving people. Thank you and more power. ATTY. ALVIN T. CLARIDADES
