Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

Section 1 Short Title: This Bill may be cited as: The Livable Wage Act of 20XX. Section 2 Table of contents is as follows.

Section 1 The Livable Wage Act of 20XX. Section 2 Contents of the bill
(a) Sec.1001 the minimum wage in the United States has been under the poverty line for the past 10 years. The minimum wage needs to be upgraded in order for this country to survive. Other countries in the world today have a low minimum wage like the United States continue to fall into hard times due to the austerity measures that their government has put into place leaving their countries with long-term high unemployment increased poverty for many years to come. Yet, other countries that have a high minimum wage can fight through austerity measures that their government may put forward.

Sec.2001 to put forward into law that the new minimum wage shall be. Non tipped: $15.05 Tipped: $6.25 The Fair Labor Standards Act requires a minimum wage of $6.25 for tipped workers with the expectation that wages plus tips total $15.05 per hour. The employer must pay the difference if total income does not add up to $15.05 per hour. Sec.3001 Effective Date The Effective Date of this Bill shall be at the end of the year from which this bill has been signed into law 20XX or at the end of the next year 20XX. If this bill has been signed into law within the last two months of this year 20XX.
