0026316-1 Publicly-held Company Notice to the Market Rio de Janeiro, February 10, 2012 - Light S.A. (Company) informs its shareholders and the market in general that on this date it approved the constitution of a consortium between its subsidiary Light Esco Prestao de Servios S.A. (Light Esco) and EDF Consultoria em Projetos de Gerao de Energia Eltrica Ltda. (EDF Consultoria), with interests of fifty-one percent (51%) and forty-nine percent (49%), respectively, for the development, construction and operation of a 391 kW photovoltaic plant, to be installed on the roof of the Maracan stadium. Total investments are estimated at R$7 million and the generated energy will be sold in the free market at a price that remunerates the investment at the basic interest rate (SELIC rate), resulting in zero net present value. After recovering the invested capital, Light Esco and EDF Consultoria will donate the plants assets to the state of Rio de Janeiro. The works are scheduled to be completed by December 2012 and the partnership with the state of Rio de Janeiro for the commercial operation of the plant will last for 10 years or less, in accordance with the investment amortization schedule.
