Principles of Finance with Excel Disk with Book

This disk contains files for all of the spreadsheets in each chapter and for all of the end-of-chapter exercises in Principles of Finance with Excel. To find the computations for a particular page in a chapter: Open the appropriate chapter file contained in the Chapter files directory. Go to the tab on the spreadsheet corresponding to the page.

Heres the way a typical spreadsheet looks (this one is for page 201 of Chapter 8):

Each set of end-of-chapter exercises is displayed in a file in the Exercises directory on the PFE CDROM..

The Getformula macro

When opening a spreadsheet, you will be confronted by the following screen:

You can safely click Enable Macros: This enables a small program called Getformula which helps identify the cell contents. A separate file on this CD-ROM tells you how to implant this useful program on your own Excel notebooks.

Changing the security settings If you get the message below when opening a PFE file, you will need to reset your security settings to enable Getformula to work:

If you get this message, click on Tools|Macro|Security:

Reset the Security setting to Medium:
