DATA Research Data: Data are facts, observations or experiences on which an argument , theory or test is based.

Data may be numerical, descriptive or visual. Data ma y be raw or analysed, experimental or observational. Data includes: laboratory n otebooks; field notebooks; primary research data (including research data in har dcopy or in computer readable form); questionnaires; audiotapes; videotapes; mod els; photographs; films; test responses. DATA SOURCE Is a place, thing or person from which data can be obtained. The following is a brief list of typical data sources. Libraries Federal agencies State agencies Local agencies Other public and quasi-public bodies Survey research organizations Private organizations Internet TYPES OF DATA Primary Data Primary data refers to data collected by the researcher himself/herself. This is data that has never been gathered before, whether in a particular way, or at a certain period of time. Researchers tend to gather this type of data when what t hey want cannot be found from outside sources.
