LUDO RULES

As to who will start first, each player will roll a die once. The team with the greatest combined score will start first. Turns for the next player will proceed clockwise. A player cannot give his turn to his partner. A player can give his turn if: o He / She has moved all of his / her pieces into the home square and, o He / She roll a 6.

If a 6 is rolled three times in a row it is counted as a foul and the player therefore loses their turn. If a player's piece lands on a square containing an opponent's piece, the opponent's piece is captured and returns to the starting area. The player also gets a bonus turn. A block (jota) is not allowed. A block (jota) is when a player's piece lands on another of their own pieces.(applied to knock-out round only) If a players piece beats his opponents piece, he cannot move that piece on his next turn. A player cannot move their first piece into the "home square" unless they have captured at least one piece of any of the opponents. If a game does not finish within 30 minutes, the player who has moved all his pieces into the home square will win. No cross team comments. Late arrival will result in by to the other team. In event of both teams late arrival will result in disqualification. The referees decision will be final and unchallengeable.
