Casualty Care is designed to provide Hunters, Sportsman, and Shooters in general with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to treat a injuries received from severe penetrating and blunt force trauma. From a negligent discharge at the range to cutting yourself dressing you deer in the backcountry the ability to provide rapid trauma care to yourself or buddy may mean the difference between life and death. We will look at the current Tactical Combat Casualty Care Guidelines and show you how the same skills can be applied in the civilian setting. We will show real world examples of the need for the knowledge and proper tools to deal with severe trauma. Finally we will look at the leading causes of preventable combat death and how the same injuries and injury patterns can occur at the range or while hunting. Bring your First Aid Kit or Trauma Kit. We will practice all the necessary skills and have many of the major medical supplies so you can practice with what you have in your kit. If you do not have a kit you will get to practice with everything and with our experience gain a better understanding of what you should buy. We will also help you develop a Medical and Safety Plan for your range or places you shoot.
