Hydraulic Clamp Unit

There are 2 hydraulic cylinders that is small double acting traverse cylinder and large main cylinder. The large main cylinder use to provide the clamp force while the small double acting traverse cylinder uses to actuated to open and close the mold. A prefill valve is opened before the traverse cylinder starts to close the clamp for the efficiency to fill the latter cylinder. The movement from the traverse cylinder suctioned the hydraulic oil from the main or auxiliary tank. The prefill valve is closed when the mold halves touch and futher movement of traverse cylinder compresses the oil in the main cylinder and producing the force in clamp. The process will be reversed when the mold is open and the separate cylinder provides for part ejection. A hydraulic ejection cylinder is use to separate the part from the mold. Basically the ejector rod from the ejection cylinder forces the ejector plate forward and drops the plate to the box. The ejector rod will return back to the origin position when the mold closes for the next cycle.

2. Screw Motor Driver

Electrical motor accept electrical input and produce rotational motion as a result. The screw motor driver uses the servo motor injection. When the motor rotates the screw, friction from the rotating screw and conduction from the electric resistance heater bands surrounding the barrel melt the polymeric material. The rotating screw also conveys the polymer towards the nozzle. At the end of the screw, the molten polymer passes through a non-return valve, which prevents the melt from flowing back towards the hopper. The servo motor injection use the PLC controller that enable easy programming and control of the plastic molding machine unit.
