Memory Verse: 1 Timothy 4:7-8 Have nothing to do with godless and silly myths. Train yourself in godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. 1. Memorize the Scripture verse. 2. Reflect on the Colors of Piety. Make a firm amendment to work on the various tasks that will help you grow in the virtue of piety. Place the Colors of Piety card in a prominent place in your home/room to help you remember your amendment. 3. Re-read the Literature Example from American Girls book, Felicity, by Valerie Tripp. Reflect on the manners that are required in your home. Ask your parents if there are in particular manners that they would like to see you work on or develop. 4. Practice your table manners (refer to the of table manners) with your family or friends. 5. Take some time to play a game with a sibling you dont often do something for or ask if they want to hang out in your room for awhile. 6. Think about your manners at the table or on the phone and work on improving one thing about them. Be certain to get the input of your parents. 7. Go out of your way to talk with someone who does not get many visitors or calls, maybe an elderly person you know, a friend who is shy or someone else you can think of. This is a great way to practice serving others and getting closer to Our Lord and Lady. Think of how good you can make someone else feel. 8. Practice setting the table at home for a week and clearing the spots for everyone when done. Refer to the table-setting handout and follow the basic guidelines. _______________________ Date of Completion
