New Year, New You

#Represent
Main Point: Discuss our ministry as new creatures and how we can boldly represent Christ every day.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21
17 Therefore, 18 All

if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting peoples sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christs ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christs behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. Questions: 1. Who is this scripture talking to? 2. Verse 19 says that all new Creatures have been given a ministry. What is that ministry called? 3. What does reconciliation mean? 4. Verse 20 says that we are Christs ambassadors. What is an ambassador? What is an ambassador supposed to look like? Q: Is it possible to represent Christ boldly every day even when people reject us? A: Yes. Lets see how Jesus and the early church stayed bold in the middle of persecution Matthew 26:36-46, Acts 4:1-4, 23-31, 2 Cor 12:7-10 5. In Matt 26, what did Jesus pray before being taken captive and put to death? 6. After being imprisoned and beaten, what did the early church lift their voices and ask God for? Did they get it? How do you know?

7. When Paul was being treated violently for representing Christ, what revelation did he receive from God that kept him going hard after/for Him? Is Gods grace just as sufficient for you and I today? We can do this, family. We are new creatures in Christ and we can represent Him well in the earth. It is going to take our commitment, fervent prayer and dedication to the study and application of Gods word every day for us to remain Holy and fit to REP THE KING!!!
