Adviser: Dr. Angela Grace Toledo-Bruno This study aimed to determine the perceptions of the Valencia City Water District (VCWD) consumers on the water quality and quantity in the selected zones of Poblacion, Valencia City. The study was conducted in the month of November to December 2010. There were six (6) zones surveyed involving 100 household respondents. An informal interview with the said respondents was conducted to know the general perception of the VCWD consumers. The general perception of the respondents on the sufficiency of water supply is disagree but there are four zones who moderately agree that there is sufficient water. On the other hand, respondents moderately agree that the water quality is satisfactory but there is one zone that disagree. In general, respondents perceive that VCWD perform its services most of the time except for one zone who perceive that VCWD perform its services always. The respondents also applied water conservation measures most of the time but there are three zones that do conservation of water only sometimes. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended that the coverage of sampling be increased and sampling error be decreased to 5% to get appropriate and reliable findings. The output of the study can be used by VCWD to sustain/improve its image to its consumer. VCWD should also focus on programs for water conservation among its consumers.
