    WET Science Center at LOTT Alliance

    puddles to the sea
    The LOTT Alliance is a union of four government agencies in Thurston
    County that conserves water resources through wastewater treatment.
    LOTT hired AldrichPears to develop a Water Education and Technology
    (WET) Science Center, an interpretive space in their new administration
    building, and their civic plaza.
    APA led LOTT through a series of visioning workshops to create a
    comprehensive plan for the science center. Our firm developed an
    approach and scientific content directed at school students and
    families. Interpretive experiences encourage visitors to calculate
    their water use with a giant calculator, give their house an H2O home
    makeover and investigate why water conservation is so important.
    Exhibits tie into school curriculum and complement facility tours.
    APA provided a conceptual approach, scientific content and detailed
    designs. Our firm also provided creative oversight during fabrication
    and installation.
