475 - This Stopping Plug is inserted from the OUTSIDE of the enclosure/equipment 477 - This Stopping Plug is inserted from the INSIDE of the enclosure/equipment

Step 1 Ensure thread type and size are compatible with enclosure thread, Where ingress protection of greater than IP54 is required, the use of a suitable non-setting thread sealant is recommended.

Step 2 Fully tighten stopping plug into the enclosure/equipment using the appropriate hexagon allen key For parallel threaded stopping plugs the number of threads engaged must be 5 with an axial engagement of 8mm. For tapered threaded stopping plugs, the plug should be wrench tight in the enclosure.

Special Condition for Safe Use: The stopping plugs must not be used with a thread adaptor / reducer in flameproof applications.
