FAREWELL TO A GOOD MAN Members and Secretariat employees of the House of Representatives salute one of its respected members, the late Representative of the Lone District of Biliran and former Deputy Speaker Gerardo Sabinay Espina, hours before internment Tuesday, February 12, 2013. His immediate family, including his son, Rep. Rogelio Espina, M.D., is shown receiving the late lawmakers congressional mementos from Rep. Rodolfo Biazon and Rep. Romero Miro Quimbo, in the presence of House Secretariat officials led by Secretary General Marilyn Barua-Yap. The late Hon. Espina was an educator, a business executive, a tri-media journalist par excellence and a dedicated public servant as Assemblyman and Assistant Majority Floor Leader during the Interim Batasan Pambansa while serving as Minister of State for Labor and Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry. Later he served as Administrator of the Export Processing Zone Authority before regaining his seat as member of the House.
