Syringe with anesthetic 2 cotton rolls possible Dry angle if asked for Bite block its a long procedure Prepare the sodium hypochlorite syringe (never place tip on before it will clog). EDTA syringe (smaller) CHX syringe Citric Acid syringe if second step Apex locator Electric motor Endo file block BOTH handpieces Piezo Articulating paper Rest should be in bin.

RCT

Steps. 1. Confirm with patient what doing 2. PA up 3. Topical placed on dried mucosa at site injection for 60-180 seconds with cotton over top so patient doesnt taste. Dry with air water syringe 4. Access-drill hole through tooth into pulp chamber 5. Place rubber dam 6. Find canals and their lengths based off of x-ray and apex locator 7. Cleansing and shaping (longest part of procedure and generally boring for assistant will only need an occasional suction). Done with files. 8. Need x-ray at this time to confirm lengths (I usually skip this step now) 9. NaOCl during RCT and with endoactivator or piezo tip 10. EDTA 90 seconds with endoactivator or piezo tip 11. NaOCl with endoactivator or piezo tip 12. EDTA 13. CHX with endoactivator or piezo tip 14. Fill with gutta percha, need sealer mixed (if finishing today) OR 15. Fill with Vitapex and gutta percha point and cavit if not finishing today 16. When all done with root canal a build up will be done. Amaglam if can or Optibond and Cosmecore build-up. 17. Clean area with small cotton ball dipped in alcohol (do not get this out until flame is off!) 18. Etch 19. Optipbond Fl 20. Check occlusion and final x-ray 21. ASK if any questions 22. Post op sheet 23. Antibiotic and pain meds
