Instructions for Setting up a Blog as a Digital Portfolio

In order to complete this process, you will need the username and password that is used to login to the Buzz.

1. Login to the student's Buzz account. 2. Click on 'Docs' which is located on the right side of the homepage.

3. If this is the first time logging in, then this page may appear:

If this happens, then you will need to scroll to the bottom and then copy the word into the text box and click the 'I accept' button.

4. At the top of the page, click on the 'More' button and scroll down to Blogger. Click on it.

Blogger is the platform we will be using to create our digital portfolios. It is linked to each student's Buzz account.

5. Now you need to change the language to English. If this has already been done, you can skip this step. Click on the menu button on the right side of the screen.

Scroll down until you find English (United Kingdom). Then click on 'Create a limited Blogger profile.

6. Use the student's first name as their display name. Then, make sure you take the check mark out of the box about 'Feature Announcements'. When you are done, click 'Continue to Blogger'.

7. Now that you have set up Blogger you have to create a blog to be your digital portfolio. Click on 'New Blog'

8. Enter the title of your blog - First Name and rst letter of last name 9. Enter the address of your blog as your 'bradbury' and then Buzz username (bradburychan1)

10. Now that your blog is set up you need to invite your teachers to your blog. Click on 'Settings'.

11. Scroll down to Permissions and click Add Authors. Use the list provided to add the email addresses of your teachers. Then click 'Invite Authors'.
