Self-Efficacy

Self-efficacy is also known as social cognitive theory or social learning theory. Albert Bandura developed this theory. It refers to an individual's belief that he or she is capable of performing a task. Research shows that the higher the selfefficacy, the better the performance. One of the reasons training works is because of self-efficacy.
