People describe you as practical, hands-on, and reliable. To be perfectly frank, you'd rather
be doing than talking. Physical activities and sports, especially the ones you can pursue
outdoors, are your passion. And when it comes to needing a Mr. or Ms. Fix-it you are the
person your friends depend on. You can build or fix almost anything mechanical or electrical,
and once it's built or fixed, you can operate it efficiently. You are not the type that wants to
get dressed up every day and take the subway to the office in a skyscraper. You are too
independent for that. And even though you may enjoy taking physical risks on the athletic
field, you would really like to have a stable, routine job someday.
REALISTIC CHARACTERISTICS
Brief description.
Realistic people, are usually assertive and competitive, and prefer to work with objects, machines
and tools. They are interested in activities requiring motor coordination, skill and strength. People
with a realistic orientation usually prefer to work a problem through by doing something, rather than
talking or thinking about it, and are often described as "doers. These individuals enjoy "hands-on"
activities, and therefore tend to be competent in manual, mechanical, electrical and agricultural
areas. People with a REALSTC preference often have athletic ability, prefer to be outdoors, and
tend toward an active lifestyle.

often praise your ability to solve problems and work independently. You are definitely a self-
motivated individual, and you are always thinking - pushing yourself to the limits when it

independent, and you excel at writing, music, drama or art. Your friends sometimes tell you
that you are very intense, emotionally and intellectually. n college, you want to be rewarded
for your imagination and innovation. And you can't wait to take all those electives you weren't
able to take in high school because of time and course restrictions: songwriting, set design,
creative writing, graphic design, photography, sculpture, maybe even art history. Hopefully

One of your best attributes is your energy level. You are sociable and ambitious, and you
don't mind being the center of attention, especially when you feel like an expert on a subject.
And thanks to your gift of persuasion, you can often convince others that you are an expert.
When it comes to new tasks, you tackle them with self-confidence. You love adventure, act
spontaneously, and are willing to take risks. You could be one of those high-stakes
