Problem finding

In this document I would like to clarify the problem area by stating and explaining
what the problem is, the intervenient variable, the relationships between those
variables, the area or field the problem is sitting and what it aims to measure.

Problem Statement

 What is the relationship between I.C.T and Knowledge Management and

how can they foster development for real-time companies?

This problem area encompasses two different variables namely, I.C.T and
knowledge management. The area also addresses the relationship between the
two, what they aim to measure by stating the level of effort and the impact they
provide for developing real time companies and the entities or the intended
targets they aim to focus which are the real time companies.

From this problem area, some other important questions may also arise and that
is why the need to take them into consideration as well. The open questions are:

 How can we enhance knowledge processing and innovation with the

use of I.C.T in real-time companies?

 What is knowledge and how do real-time companies distinguish it

from information?

 How can real-time companies realize when information becomes

knowledge?

 Do real-time companies have sufficient knowledge to cope

successfully with technological change?
Technology alongside with knowledge management will clearly become more
helpful in dealing with information overload. Techniques such as automation can
reduce the load of persons attempting to perform certain tasks repetitively and
perform more productively. There is some promise, as yet unfulfilled, that
intelligent agents may in the future help persons to prioritize the messages they
receive. Technology and well managed knowledge also help managers to select
only the required information needed to make several important and strategic
decisions as well that play important role in the organization success. (Malhotra,
Y., 1993)

Finally, it should be emphasized again that this document has dealt with
managing human knowledge with the help of I.C.T. Human knowledge will
continue to be a valuable resource for the foreseeable future, and technology to
help leverage it will be increasingly valuable and capable.
