Unit 3. Project Clock Face Design

My Design Specification 1. Mozambican-inspired theme or design 2. Recycled materials will be used 3. Thinker, Knowledgeable, and Risk-taker 4. Inspire and promote happiness 5. Magazine cut outs, kapulanas, straws, wires mostly recycled items 6. Im thinking it is going to be kind of roundish and fairly big so you can either hang it somewhere or put in on your bed side table. 7. It is going to have all types of colors, bright and cheerful but not a lot of pastels or dark colors. 8. The wire frame will make it strong and last for a long while. 9. It wont have any chemicals or anything like that, and the wires wont be sticking out and cutting who ever touches the clock. 10. There will be kapulanas in the background along with some pictures. 11. My target audience for this product are girls from ages 13-26. 12. The tools and techniques that Ill need to create my project im going to use a lot of wire cutters and other materials like that to be handling the frame, and techniques ill need to know how to bend and mold the frame into a clock. 13. I think about two weeks over all will be needed for me to create the clock because of all the wire work that it will involve, its a lot more elaborate than it seems. 14. Nothing.

m.Time/days needed to create the product

II. Product Testing A. Using Google Forms, construct a survey form that you and your intended users will use to test if the product satisfies the Design Specification. (You will only use this survey during the Evaluate stage) 1. Provide the link to the survey form you created: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1q99HKmdYc3TF1sx_dRd6qn97Yw6ygM8qoD7_-ykE5c/viewform 2. Provide the link to the Summary of Responses of your survey: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmApIKQPfI37dE1yeGt6UXlaTE9QWndDMHRBWGVGZ2c#gid=0 B. Discuss your answers to the following questions in 1 paragraph: 1. How did you use the Design Specification in your survey questions? I used the design specification to guide my questions. The question on my survey will tell me if I followed my design specification or not. 2. How will you distribute the survey? Who will answer your survey? How many people do you need to answer your survey? I will post the link on Edmodo so that all my classmates now can go there and answer my survey, and I need as many people as possible to answer my survey. 3. How will you and your intended users test the product? How will you and your intended users check for technical errors in the design of the product? We will check before we finish for anything that is wrong with it, we will go through the design specification and then test the final product on one or two people. 4. How will you determine if your product successfully solved or addressed the problem/situation it was intended for? I will determine if my project has fit all the criterion by the results of all the people who answer my survey
