Lesson Plan Grade 2 Soccer Fun!

Equipment: Soccer balls (1 per partner group), Pylons (20), Nets (4) Pylons, (9) pinnys if we have time for a game at the end. Learning Sequence 1. Warm up Activity Under-Leg Tag Key Points Once tagged freeze students must spread their legs as wide as can be and another student has to crawl under their legs Passing/Receiving How to move the leg to get the ball to your target How to receive the ball when it is coming to you (inside/bottom of foot) Time 10:03-10:08

2. Partner Activity Each set of partner needs one soccer ball

Passing: Each student will: Know how to hit their target Pass inside of foot Pass outside of foot Receive inside of foot Receive bottom of foot

3. Group Activity Between two teams youll need one soccer ball

Hitting the cone Set up cones on the outside of the perimeter Each teams objective is to hit the cone while the team can block the ball without going out of bounds

Accuracy, Passing, Receiving Be able to aim ball at cones and hit them Be able to stop ball from hitting cones (receiving) Being able to aim and deliver that pass to the target cone

Are the students able to demonstrate static balance at different heights? Do they understand that balance can occur with equipment and partners? = yes X = no Balance at low level?
