2003 - Materials Engineer - Kimira Oluch Scheme Materials engineer for the above irrigation scheme in Nyanza province consisting of several kilometres of irrigation canals and access roads 1990 Laikipia Airbase Detailed pavement condition evaluation of existing airport pavements in various stages of deterioration. The study of the pavement condition together with evaluation of available materials enabled a rational economical design of rehabilitation of the airport pavements. 2000 Failure Of Hatabor Earth Dam In Limuru Investigated the course of failure off a six-meter high earth dam in Limuru. The dam was constructed with little regard to quality control and failed as a result of combination of earthwork erosion and inadequate spillway capacity. 2001- Jogoo Road Extensions. Highways engineer in the technical audit of Jogoo Road extensions comprising of deep earthworks capped with a heavy-duty pavement structure and a bridge across the Nanyuki rail line. The project was dogged with delays and numerous claims from the contractor. The audit team resolved a major impasse, which had resulted due to an inclusion of substandard concrete in the bridgework. The impasse had lasted for nine months and almost grounded this World Bank funded project to a halt. The contractor, client, consultant and the World Bank accepted the audit solution. 2002 Road Inventory and Condition Survey for a Geographical Information System Involved in the technical audit of the above project under Kenya Urban Infrastructure Project (KUTIP). The project involves 26 towns and digital mapping covering 26 towns for KUTIP. 1995 -Project Design/Supervisor Adviser Tana Delta Irrigation Project Consulting advisor to Nippon Koei consulting engineers in the above project. Irrigation Diversion Structures consisting of a large diversion structure across river Tana. The main works for this structure included piling and large gates Rice Mill Complex consisting of large steel structures founded of expansive black cotton soils. The foundations and the superstructures required latest design techniques in order to minimise structural defects associated with foundations on black cotton soils
