Status of Field Quality Assurance at 5 x 660 MW TPP Mundra

Status as on 16 .06.2008

• Approximate cost of FQA Building proposed to be constructed at Mundra shall be

Rs.52,81,000.00

• The testing equipments of FQA Laboratory shall suffice the requirement of only
civil works testing. This is as per the list submitted by SEPCO III stating the
proposed procurement of testing equipments for FQA Laboratory at Mundra.

• The test equipments for Mechanical and Electrical works are to be procured by
SEPCO III

• The test equipments available with the working agencies ,M/s Simplex
Infrastructure Limited and M/s Gannon Dunkerley and Company, for civil works
are sufficient to carry out tests as under:

Cube Compressive strength Analysis, Determination of SD and CoV

Specific gravity of Fine and Coarse Aggregate,
Fineness of Cement,
Gradation analysis of Fine and Coarse Aggregates, individual and mix
Water absorption by Fine and Coarse Aggregates
Silt content in sand,
Fineness modulus of sand

• For the regular testing of construction water presently there is no facility either
with SEPCO III or the Working Agencies.
