Katie Gast is a first year student in the Student Development Administration program at Seattle University.

She currently works as a Graduate Assistant in Learning Assistance programs at SU. In her role she works to support the many learning opportunities offered to students within the department including a campus wide tutoring program, facilitated study groups, language conversation groups, and a weekly workshop series. Formerly Katie served as a Student Engagement Specialist working in TRiO Student Support Services at Edmonds Community College. Her work with low-income, first generation, and disabled students to improve college success and retention propelled her into the field of student affairs. Prior to joining the EdCC team, Katie attended Gonzaga University and graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelors Degree in International Relations. She has spent time studying and living abroad honing skills in international dialogue, communication, and relations.
