My students learning needs I have conducted much research on the learning needs of the different students in my class and am educating myself on which particular methods and strategies may work for different students in literacy and numeracy. I am further trying to educate myself on how my students by seeking advice from other teachers who have teaching experience in the field.

Differentiating learning experiences within my classroom to cater to the abilities of all of my students, particularly ESL students

I plan to work closely with all support teachers who work with my students to ensure there is fluidity and consistency amongst programs as well as expectations. I plan to work closely with the teachers that withdraw my students for STLA and ESL. I also plan to work closely with the in class support staff to ensure that all of the other, more independent students' needs are catered and tended to.

I will need to seek the knowledge and experience of teachers who are familiar with catering to a diverse range of learning needs within the classroom. The physical documents and programs available by the support teachers will also be a helpful tool to that will provide consistency with students' learning.

I will know that I will have achieved my goal of successfully differentiating learning for students within my classroom once students are all completing work independently within their ability and achieving stage outcomes. Students must be challenged however must also be able to draw on their own tools of interpretation to successfully complete the task. HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN IM THERE?

Becoming more confident in using a diverse range of ICT's in the classroom, including iPads. Ipods and the IWB

Although I gained a fair bit of exposure to using the iPads over the past year, I need to learn how to effectively conduct a valuable lesson using a class set. I need to maximise the use of the iPads to their full potential so that my students reap the benefits of such a modern, interactive and educational tool. In order to do this I may need to research useful applications to download and integrate these applications into my program.

I think the main tool that will assist me is personal research. I think it would also be helpful if a workshop or tutorial was conducted by an IT expert to provide realistic and helpful suggestions on how to successfully conduct lessons using the iPad.

I will know that I have achieved my goal once students become confident with using the iPads as educational tools. Another good indicator would also be when they apply the knowledge and skills that they learnt through those games and activities in other areas of literacy and numeracy.

Incorporate effective teaching strategies to support students literacy and numeracy achievements.

I need to research, explore and experiment with different teaching strategies to support students growth in Literacy, particularly in the area of Vocabulary.

Term 1-2 Goal- HAT to model a variety of vocabulary learning ideas based on whole class text (Matilda). We will jointly evaluate the ideas and incorporate the more useful ones that will work well for the class. Professional reading supplied by HAT. I will more deeply explore the Best Start vocabulary teaching suggestions. Observe a colleague a successful vocabulary lesson based on the Best Start continuum. Request the support of a Best Start consultant. I need assistance from executives who know what is required in a successful resume.

I will know I have achieved my goal once I conduct effective lessons which achieve the desired learning intention where students maintain engagement and interest.
