    Monday morning music at Blackheath Halls with Matthew taylor


    Haydns two visits to London formed the summit of his achievement as a composer. His last series of six symphonies were performed in London to huge acclaim. The course will explore the language of the last symphonies, from the Surprise to the Drum Roll, as well as music for smaller forces, including the later piano trios and the last works for piano solo. There will be glimpses into Haydns fascinating lifestyle during these times.
