Description: READ 371 Teaching Reading and Language Arts, READ 270 and EDUC 321 b. Evaluation: I reviewed the student evaluations and planned adjustments this year based on feedback. In READ 270 I let students know ahead of time what the assignments would be but did not give due dates until after the material was covered in class. Due to the possibility of bad weather in the spring I wanted to insure I had covered material before an assignment related to that topic was due. However, based on the feedback from the course students did not like this approach. This semester in READ 270 I assigned due dates. EDUC 321 responses indicated a need for speedier feedback. I have made a point to make comments when grading in a timely manner. I also incorporated a no late assignment policy which should also help. Although not to be used as an excuse it should be noted that the School of Education was preparing for an NCATE visit during the end of the EDUC 321 semester. c.
