He Had Such Quiet Eyes

He had such quite eyes. He had such quiet eyes She did not realize They were two pools of lies Layered with thinnest ice To her, those quiet eyes Were breathing desolate sighs Imploring her to be nice And to render him paradise

If only shed been wise And had listened to the advice Never to compromise With pleasure-seeking guys She would be free from the hows and whys

Now heres a bit of advice Be sure that nice really means nice Then youll never be losing at dice Though you may lose your heart once or twice Bibsy Soenharjo

The poem He Had Such Quiet Eyes looks into the dilemma faced by a woman who unsuspectingly gave

herself to the lustful desires of a man. Due to her ignorance and refusal to listen to good advice, she fell prey to a pleasure

seeking guy, who lured her with his quiet yet deceitful eyes. In the end she realized how wrong she was to trust him

and wished she had listened to the advice given but it was already too late to mend what was broken.

A young woman fell in love with a deceitful guy. She was mesmerised by his quiet eyes. The woman did not realise his insincerity and deception. In fact, she felt sorry for him.
