Plot A. Introduction There once lived a couple who had a white squash that

gave them food to eat every day. Despite being childless, both were happy for they liked nothing so much as boiled squash for dinner. B. Development of the rising action One day, they discover that they had eaten their last squash. They waited and prayed patiently but still no fruit came. C. Climax Not long after, a white squash appeared. They could hardly wait for the fruit to ripe and as soon as it was big enough, they wanted to it eat. But upon hearing something inside the squash, the man himself took the knife and carefully cut the fruit open and there they found a beautiful baby. The wife proceeded to the bathe the babys body became shining pieces of gold. D. Falling Action The couple found them self so greedy because the baby left them saying I am very sorry that you could not be satisfied with your fortune. First you obtain enough money/gold to built a palace, to buy all the land in the village, and now youre planning for a new palace. Even if I have given you a room full of

gold, you ask for more. Because you are so greedy, I shall leave you and the gold shall go with me. VI. Summary There was childless couple who had a squash plant for food. But one day, they discovered that they had eaten their last squash so they waited and prayed patiently but a white squash was given for them. They found out that there was a baby inside the white squash that gives gold every time given a bathe. In the end, they were left as poor and childless as they had always been because the baby and the gold vanished due to their greediness. VII. Theme The story was all about the couple and how they deal with all the fortune given by the baby from the white squash. VIII. Message Money is the root of all evil. It is because once a couple got money, theyll be wanted for more. IX. Lesson Be contented on what you have. You might be left behind because youve been so greedy of it. X. Vocabulary Words a.
