Hearing English in our

filled with even more English.

During the week a lot of various activities were organized for all the classes of the school. Nobody was left aside. Everybody could choose to do
what he is good at, show his talents and achievements, try something
new and challenging.
The Translation Contest put on the
trial students translating skils. The extracts were taken from the works of famous writers Conan Doyle and
O.Henry. So the students got into the
shoes of a real translator of literary
texts. The best here turned to be Yekaterina Martynova (8th form), Oleg Ignatushchenko (9th form), Yevgeniy Bilenko
(10th form). Denis Brazhko (11th form).
Besides, the pupils of the forms
from 6 to 9 had an excellent opportunity to check their level of the German
language in the dummy tests compiled
by Goether Institute.
The Composition Contest helped
show students individuality, literacy
and eloquence. There were 3 topics
given, among which one could choose
the most appropriate to write about.
The best compositions were written by
Yliia Zubkova and Anzhelika Popova
(8th form), Tatiana Klindukhova (9th
form), Andrei Blizhenskiy (10th form),
Yelizaveta Pentiukhina and Yliia Tolmachiova.
On the third day our school-leaver

prospects for the future, economic and
ecological problems in our town.
The fourth day was dedicated to
the English language poetry. Pupils
from the 1st to 11th form recited poems
of both classical and modern poets.
Everyone did his best to be as expressive as possible.
The 5th-formers took part in an intellectual game and showed good
knowledge of the English language,
British and American culture and history.
The climax of the English week
was a colourful concert with songs,
dances and fairy-tales. It was a real
celebration of knowledge and creativity.
